Trauma 2 Trust

Facilitators Training

15 -19 of May,2024

An immersive & experiential training designed to increase trauma awareness and enhance nervous system regulation. You will gain knowledge and tools for resilience and set the stage for personal, collective, and relational healing; empowerment, co-creativity, and true belonging.

This training will help you to help your clients on a deeper level…as well as yourself.

During your time with us, you will:

Explore and deepen their relationship with their nervous system.

  • Study embodiment and the edges of traumatic activation

  • Learn tools to re-establish a somatic sense of safety.

  • Develop an awareness of what you can do when you get triggered.

  • Learn how to use your body as the ground for research and the resource for the regulation of the nervous system back into a shared somatic sense of safety.

Reveal, and revel in, your true self

  • Feel more alive and connected

  • Stop hiding behind your ‘mask’

  • Show your yourself authentically and honestly

In other words…

→ You will be experientially guided through what stands in the way of living your full potential.

→ You will experience what happens when the previously challenging effects of relational trauma that you have experienced in the past are transformed into your own empowerment, growth, and healing.

→ You will not only experience this for yourself, but you will witness the same happening for everyone in the group.

The collective effect is powerful – perhaps beyond anything you have experienced before.

It is pure presence. It is life, and love, itself.

It is you, it is me, and it is us.
Are you ready to say yes to your own evolution?

And to the ripple effect it will have on your own personal, and professional, community and network?

This workshop is for you if you are ready to learn how to

Gain tools to self-regulate and co-regulate your own nervous system in triggered situations.

  • Develop awareness in recognising when your triggers start to happen – and before they actually erupt!

  • Learn simple skills to create a somatically safe field for your relationship, client, colleague or team/group work.

  • Experience practices and exercises that can down-regulate an entire team or group, starting with your own nervous system.

  • Learn how to read the body language of any individual.

  • Discover how to observe an entire room and to notice when people are being driven by triggers (i.e. agitated, disassociated, checking out) – and how to handle it.

  • Discover how to gently bring more love and presence when working with trauma.

  • Understand the psychological theory of trauma and why the body is so important, and how it applies on the path to healing.

  • Learn what happens in the brain during a traumatic (re) activation.

  • Know when and how to make things slow down.

  • Practice somatic and verbal tools to reconnect with the body, self, and others.

  • Often, trauma is regarded as a problem to fix – an obstacle to a relationship, or a wound that makes us feel damaged and unloveable…something to feel shamed by…and, most of all, to keep hidden.

But what if you could look at trauma in a different light?

What if trauma could actually hold the key to your freedom? To your love and light?

I invite you to consider this:

    Trauma is an incredible opportunity.

Trauma is your invitation to more realness and depth...

The ripple effects of which have the potential to touch everyone and bring all those in contact with it into deeper emotional intimacy, healing and love.

The catch? Trauma can only have this immensely positive effect for you – to become your gift instead of your problem – when you are able to create an internal and interpersonal container strong enough to fully hold and integrate all of the parts of you that are currently fragmented.

Because trauma is stored and healed in the body, it is not enough to just talk about it or enact emotional processes around it.

To really get to the core of it, we must actually become vulnerable again, in a place deeper than words, and move into embodied experience.

In order to transform your body-based fearful expectations, you need to co-create new patterns.

    What does this involve?

It means that you need to take the risk of revealing yourself to other human beings.

And this can (and should) only happen in a container that feels safe for you.

Sometimes, that safe container could be with your partner, your friend, a close colleague, or a trusted therapist.

    However…

Your safe container can also be created in a group setting like this one.

My colleagues and I have found that some truly astonishing transformation, and profound healing, can absolutely happen – both much faster and significantly amplified – when our trauma is mirrored in a properly facilitated group setting.

The truth is, one person's trauma has the potential to heal an entire room

Meet the Facilitator

His work helps individuals to navigate and transform the remnants of relational trauma while supporting them to live as fully, and truthfully, as possible.

Within the oft challenging landscape of relational trauma and intimacy work, Buster stands as a beacon of courage and playfulness with his trademark honesty and authentic sensibility. Embodied transformation remains the anchor of his practice, both personally and through the Path of Relating.

  • Offer more to your clients – and to yourself.

This facilitator training takes place in a workshop environment that immediately transforms into a highly collaborative, embodied ‘laboratory’ where you (alongside everyone in the group) are invited to share your findings and bring your questions so that we all benefit from each other’s wisdom and curiosity.

There is a strong focus on using our bodies as the ground for research. Your body is your primary resource through which you can begin to regulate your nervous system back into a somatic sense of safety, both individually and shared with others.

    • Lean into a safe workshop environment with value-focused participants

    • Engage in diverse embodiment practices

    • Learn how to really regulate your nervous system – and how to teach others

    • Deepen your scientific understanding of key trauma-related theories

In this intensive group atmosphere, you will learn and experience a range of tried-and-true practices that are both simple yet incredibly powerful.

These tools and practices work for anyone and can be applied to any area of one’s life, be it personal, relational, or professional.

  • “Buster's way of passing on his learned knowledge and experience is also a great example of how we can learn and grow as humans. Namely in a playful way. And since you learn the most when you understand it yourself on a deep, physical level, his lessons – which are based primarily on self-experience – are also so sustainable. As a result, the 5 days are always stimulating, entertaining, touching and enriching. And that's also possible when it comes to serious topics such as encountering and working with trauma.”

Dr. Med Matthias Lange, Specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy

“One person's trauma has the potential to heal an entire room.”
